Geocache Description:

Placed near the campground known as the Dirty Dozen along the Rubicon trail. Accessible only by 4WD, ATV, Hike or Snowshoe.

The camp area was used exclusively by the Dirty Dozen Jeep Club. The club was established in Folsom, CA in 1966 by returning Vietnam Veterans. The members were a close group who enjoyed jeeping and a good party.
One of the premiere jeep trips of the time was the Dirty Dozen Midnight Rubicon run. The idea was to jeep at night to miss the day crowds and on Saturday night serve a first rate meal, bring in a band and have a open bar for all the invited guests.
The club is still active with yes, 12 members and they just celebrated the 31st annual event, (Less the band), they have their own sound equipment now, and the open bar usually last's til about 1am.

Container is a Gott with granite coating for stealth.
