Eagle Bluff Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

UKVoelkers: I have been asked by the Wisconsin State Parks to remove this cache. They have enacted a policy that does not allow caches to be in the same location for more than 1 year at a time. Since I am not in Wisconsin at this time, I am archiving the cache, however it will not be removed until I'm in the area again. Please do not visit the cache. I do want to thank everyone who has visited the cache. The cache has survived for more than 4 years and I'm sad to see it go. It also appears to have been one of the most visited active caches in Wisconsin until now. Thanks to everyone for their understanding.

Geocache Description:

This cache is in Peninsula state park on the bay side of Door County. There is a Wisconsin State Parks fee to get into the park. The best place to park is at the Eagle Bluff parking lot

It is about a .3 mile hike to the site. The cache is a clear tupperware container with a white lid. It is about 200' off of the trail, but you shouldn't have any problem getting to the site. You might not want to bring the little ones on this one, as the hike down the hill is pretty steep, and back up is pretty exhausting. (at least for those of us who are out of shape) Enjoy the view once you get to the site, but keep your eyes peeled as the cache is pretty hard to see unless you are right on top of it. If there is anything wrong with the cache or the coordinates, I would appreciate you email me at bvoelker@gmail.com. Thanks and happy hunting.

In response to the most recent log, which mentions that the log book is full, because I will not be in the area for about 3 weeks, I'd like to ask that someone who will be visiting the cache in the near future to bring a logbook with them. If this is not possible, I will have the logbook replaced as soon as I am in the area. Thanks to all for their help and understanding.

I would also like to thank everyone who have made this one of the most visited, if not the most visited cache in all of Wisconsin. I really appreciate how well this cache has fared for the nearly 4 years, and almost 200 visits that it has endured.
