A small cache close to the road on public land.
This stop offers a very good view, to the west, of probably the most unique geological formation between Durango and Pagosa Springs. Chimney Rock is about 3 miles from this point and offers a stunning sunset picture for those who enjoy a good picture. The cache is a small container with log book, a hummer and car air freshener. You can trade small items. There is a small lake nearby, Capote lake, which offers good fishing and picnicing.
