Geocache Description:

This cache is cache number one in the League of Extraordinary Geocachers series. You will have to gain access to the cache to receive the letter that will enable you to find the L.E.G. Bonus Cache. This cache represents the celebrated Greenwood cache originally placed by The White Buffalo. Thanks for allowing us to adopt it. This is a mystery/puzzle cache where you will have to solve the riddles/puzzles of the cache in the field to gain access. Hints are provided in the cache listing and Riddles/Puzzles can be solved at the cache location. You may drop off or pick up Travel Bugs/Coins at the cache location without gaining access to the cache. Please see the directions below.

Tomb of The Holy Grail

Unlike most "Unknown" caches, the cache is located at the posted coordinates.

The "key" to claiming this cache is in your ability to unlock the secrets of the tomb. When you arrive at the cache location, you will see the "Tomb of The Holy Grail". Your quest is to solve three puzzles at the cache location to gain access to the grail and sign the log.

Everything you need to gain access to the "Tomb" is at the cache location.

No tools are required. Please do not take puzzles apart.

Puzzles and Riddles

The Rings That Bind

Free the key from the "Rings That Bind" and you will granted access to one of the locks on the "Tomb"

This may help you on your quest to release the key from the "Rings That Bind"

The Guidestones

The Guidestones are the most magical of all the objects you will discover at the cache location. A single stone holds the key to one of the locks. Arrange the stones in the correct order, and you will have the ability to gain ALL of the keys. It would be wise to solve the mystery of the Guidestones.

The Templar Tablets

It is believed by some grail seekers, that the Knights Templar knew the secret of the grail. A portion of stone cut from BOAZ, the right pillar at the entrance of King Solomons Temple, has been placed at the tombs location. The stone was cut into nine equal pieces, and then transported by nine Knights to the resting place of the tomb.

The Tablets contain four ancient symbols. Day, night, water, and fire. To solve the riddle of the tablets, arrange the nine pieces so that the symbol on each side of each stone is made whole when placed beside another stone. The nine stones will form a square. After you have completed this task, turn the COMPLETE puzzle over, and use the following directions provided by the DeMolay to obtain this key.

When the center stone is legible, you will use the directions of the compass to pass.

The South West stone together with the North,
Enables the seeker to continue forth.

The North East stone together with the middle,
Solves two parts of this three part riddle.

The middle stone again together with North West,
Is the last code in this puzzle, and possibly the best.

Travel Bug Tomb Raiders

Even if you have not gained access to the Tomb of The Holy Grail, you may drop off and pick up coins, travelbugs, and hints. A separate compartment has been set up at the Grail location for the exchange of these items. The Travel Bug Tomb is clearly marked and accessible if you can find the key. This Tomb should be very simple for a geocacher to access. If Travelbugs or Coins have been in the TB Tomb for two weeks, a special courier via camelback will scoop them up and hump it to the nearest TB hotel so they do not get Tomb locked. TB Rules, if you take a TB or a coin, please leave one in return. :)

(Key is in a little thingy on top:)

Information about the cache location

This cache has been placed with permission on private property. All cachers are welcome to enjoy this experience. Please help by following these guidelines.

Use the driveway coordinates: The driveway to access the Tomb is grass only and allows entrance to a field. You are welcome to drive as close to the cache as you wish.

Dawn to Dusk: Please hunt this cache during daylight hours only. There will be special events held at this location periodically at night for cachers to experience the "Fire of the Tomb". Outside of these events, please be kind and visit during daylight hours.

Restroom: There isn't one for several miles. Be prepared.

Mr. No Shoulders:  Mr. No Shoulders has been seen many times at this location. He/She is dark approx. 6 feet and has no interest in geocaching, just don't tread on him/her.

No Sign No Find:  You have to sign to get credit for the find.

Mc Toys:  Trade up or trade even. There is no "Golden Arch" at the Tomb location. If you are a fan of Mc Toys, that works out perfect, keep them! (Why do cachers continue to think these are good trade items?)
