Geocache Description:

Another Covered Bridge!

Many people don't know that this structure is actually a covered bridge that stood over East Creek in this spot end to end with its twin until the flood of 1947 washed it down stream. The mate to it was destroyed, but this one was pulled to this site where it has been used to store hay, as a salt shed and now to store some of the town highway equipment. There has been some talk of restoring the bridge and moving to the town rec park someday.
Nice view of Hathaway's 1881 barn just up the road. Probably the most phtographed barn in this area. Nice place
to buy pumpkins or corn in season.
Note; houses located nearby so please do this one during the day.
