GENERAL RULES FOR CACHING IN IRAQ: This cache is located in a war zone. It is on a coalition controlled installation. You will need proper credentials to gain access to the area. Do not post logs that give any references to what is around the cache site or might otherwise compromise OPSEC.
This cache was placed during a recent trip to visit Kirkuk. During my visit I noticed this great location in the area without a cache. The cache you are looking for is a 35mm Film Canister. The cache contains a logsheet only – you will need to bring your own writing device!! The title should give you a general idea of where the cache is located. Be sure to bring your camera for a great photo opportunity!
This cache will be part of several others where I will be giving aware a 2007 Military Association of Geocachers (MAGC) coin. This will work as a drawing type event where I will enter the user name of each First to Find for the caches in the series (MAGC Lottery 1). Once I have hidden 5 caches and all 5 have been found, I will draw the name out of the ol’ hat to see who will get the true FTF Prize. This coin is one of the Silver coins that were limited produced at only 300 and are becoming harder to find. I will provide shipping of the coin to the winner, if not a local person. This is the third cache in the series.
