Geocache Description:

This regular-size cache is located at Rend Lake Resort in Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park near Whittington.

I named this cache for John Reilly, long-time proprietor/concessionaire of the resort. You'll also see his name on a building close by.

This is a family-friendly cache and fairly easy to find. It is a plastic half-gallon sun tea container wrapped in camouflage tape. It requires less than 10 feet of bushwhacking. Careful though, during the warm months this can be a busy part of the park.

The cache was not designated as a travel bug hotel, but it's a pretty good place to drop or pick one up (I've started the cache with one). It's only about a 10 minute drive off I-57. It's also a good place to grab a bite to eat, to grab a cold one or to spend the night. It's also got a beautiful view of the lake, voted one of the state's top seven wonders.
