This is a fairly clear area but you have religious muggles driving by on one side and "playful" muggles on the other side.
There is MONDO parking available nearby with no more than a 100 or so foot walk to the cache.
This is #13 in a Series of Caches Dedicated to SC Geocachers.
Now ol' Prairie Dog is an elusive cacher.
Rarely seen he DO seem to "pop-up" on occasions.
We have spotted him at a few Midlands Geoholics meetings but when you turn around he seems to have gone.
Then "POP"; he is back!
Now Aries says it's 'cause he went to get another brew.
But we are not 100% sure.
He likens it to wanting to play "Whack-A-Mole" with him but ol' P-D is a good ol' boy.
There just ain't a call for good ol' boys anymore, Prairie Dog!
He has also been spotted around March 17th in the 5-Points area.
Who knew Prairie Dogs drank green beer?!?
Well; this area seemed appropriate as it has a "structure" at the cache location that is, well, out of place.
It just sorta "popped-up" here in the late 1990's.
The story is sorta cute.
The religious folks owned the property and it was just a bunch of woods.
Then the school Distict Board said they were going to "take" the property to build a school.
During this long-drawn out battle an Attorney for the Church discovered that the School Board couldn't sieze the property if there was a structure on it.
So the bright lawyer had this put there.
So when you go past the HUGE church or the Amusement park across the street you can now do so secure in the knowledge of why the heck there is a Gazebo sittin' in the woods.
And just like Prairie Dog it just "popped-up" there!
