Geocache Description:

This cache has been placed for the event   Spring Caching in the Highlands 2007   please do not look for / log until Saturday 21st April 2007 :) 

A quick roadside cache and dash.

Located  6 miles east of Inverness,the Clava Viaduct conveys the Perth-Inverness railway line 39m (128ft) above the valley of the River Nairn.

Built between 1893 and 1898, this impressive viaduct is some 549m (600yds) in length and consists of 29 red sandstone arches.

The viaduct was built by Sir John Fowler, designer of the Forth Rail Bridge, and Murdoch Paterson.
