Geocache Description:

Cache hidden on a short nature trail in Fort Walton Beach.

This is the first cache in a series of caches commemorating the projects of Eagle Scouts.

To earn this highest rank in Scouting, a young man must complete 21 merit badges and a service project. These projects require a lot of effort from the Scout to plan, procure materials and carry out, and each must be of some benefit to the Scout's community.

This cache is hidden along a nature trail that is the Eagle Project for a Scout named Jacob. Before he set his vision to this area, it was nothing more than a natural retention pond. Now, a bark-chip trail winds through the area, complete with bridges over low areas and informational plaques.

Park in the church overflow lot to the north.
