Geocache Description:

This is the beginning of a circuit of the town of Center Point. Please collect some information in the cache that will lead you to a final cache in the circuit. Please leave the clue in the cache. In case the clue is missing, it should be written at the top of the log.

Center Point – started out as Zanzenburg in 1859 and served as the first post office in Kerr county. It was renamed Center Point in 1872. It is reported that the name was chosen because the settlement was halfway between Kerrville and Comfort, as well as halfway between Fredericksburg and Bandera. Population as of 2000 -- 800.

This is the Eastern entrance to the town of Center Point. It will seem out in the middle of nowhere, but continue on and you will see more. Please do not park along the side of Hwy. 27. Please park on the side road as you begin your search for this cache. We hope you enjoy the “tour” of this neat little town. Welcome!
