Geocache Description:

In the hills overlooking Hollingworth Lake

Hollingworth Lake was originally built to service the canal to Manchester but with the addition of a steamer (small) a couple of pubs, some amusement arcades and a fish and chip shop, soon became a magnet for the people from miles around. Even now as soon as the weather allows the place is thronged with folk just out for a stroll and an ice cream. This cache takes all this in and more and on a summer evening you can see the lights along the shore and imagine an Italian Lake. It is also on a direct route between The Aigin Stone which is an ancient monument and Hidden Water which is a new one. If you look at the clue I hope it's been raining. The cache is quite small but holds a few trinkets and a Canadien TB
