Geocache Description:

THIS IS RATED 5/5 because it is very difficult to find with the leaf fall, branches, etc. I assure you it's still there. You may need a metal detector to find the box, but it has been found before with just a stick poking around the leaves.

Vineyard Mountain area. This cache can be accessed by climbing the yellow trail! One of my favorite hiking areas, Vineyard Mountain has a trail marked in blue and then red blazes to the top of the mountain and the required GA mountaintop ornament (Radio Antenna). There is also a yellow blazed trail that leads you not quite to the top of the mountain and then will take you down the backside of the mountain to Lake Allatoona and across to Bethany Bridge at Red Top Mountain. The length of the trail from the parking lot at Riverside Park to the top is approximately .75 miles (blue & red trail). The yellow trail is slightly longer and if followed from the top area to Bethany Bridge is approximatley 2.9 miles. Along this "yellow" lake trail are several other hidden caches! Oh and there's another one on the very top of the mountain too! CO FTF OWL1959 & JOHNNIE!! THEY BRAVED 20 degree WEATHER FOR THIS FIND! REHIDE FTF: Smiling in Acworth! Thanks Sam!
