In the Te Moana gorge area off the Geraldine-Fairlie Road. Do not ford the river where the road divides at the only cattle stop up the road. The cache is close to a popular swimming spot. It should be easy to find. The road is a narrow gravel road for 15km with a number of small fords (nothing major unless your vehicle has been lowered!!) OK in a car with care and thus a terrain score of 2.5. There is space to park 100m past the cache, near the river. Careful of bush lawyer at the cache.
The cache is a 800ml clear click lock container with just a log book and pen.
Once you have located the cache, turn 180deg and you should be able to see the bottom of the waterfall. Wander down the walking track next to the cabbage tree to where two rivers meet. If you walk up the northern river 30 metres you will see a spectacular waterfall. You will need to wade the river (up to your waist) at the last bit. Great on a hot summers day.
