Geocache Description:

Watch out for muggles! You are looking for a camouflaged micro cache.

WB41 is a marker along the old Michigan Air Line Railroad (later part of the Grand Trunk system) in the West Bloomfield Trail Network in West Bloomfield, MI.

If you are one of the few who braved the wilds and found our Zox Cache; you’ll recognize the WB41 container. We have learned a lesson or two when it comes to the balance of cache access, cache location and the difficulty of the find. This is an easy walk up (almost a dive up) along a well-used bike/walking trail (it is almost a drive up).

Bring your own pencil to log your visit. Cache is too small for TBs and Geo Swag.

The West Bloomfield Trail Network is a great place for walking and bicycling. The varied habitat is home to deer, coyotes, fox, owls, herons, ducks and songbirds. The cache is along the rails-to-trails portion which runs about five miles from Arrowhead Rd. in West Bloomfield through Keego Harbor and Sylvan Lake to Telegraph Rd. in Pontiac.

Parking is available at each end of the West Bloomfield portion and at some road crossings along the path. Some residential areas have restricted parking; use your best judgment. Main parking areas are shown as waypoints below. The middle (Orchard Lake) parking area is closest to the cache.

West – Arrowhead: N42 34.087, W083 23.601
Middle – Orchard Lake Rd. & Pontiac Trail: N42 34.606, W083 21.729
East – Keego/Sylvan: N42 36.335, W083 20.223

Thanks to the West Bloomfield and its citizens who have worked so hard to preserve this beautiful natural area. Thanks also to the West Bloomfield Parks and Recreation folks who allow caches to be placed here. Please respect the area and follow standard Geocaching rules and courtesies when searching for and placing caches.
