Geocache Description:

Edmonton's deep snow this winter has made for some tough sledding while hunting for the Tupperware under the spruce trees. In fact, it looks like some cachers have gone into hibernation because it is sure lonely on the trails. If you can't beat the weather then time to enjoy it. An outdoor event in a city park featuring the opportunity to practice your geocaching snowshoe skills, meet up with old and new caching friends and enjoy winter caching.

Warm fire and hot drinks will be provided. Bring your own food and some to share.

Some snowshoes will be available and anyone else who has some please bring them for people to try.

Event will take place from 1100-1400, Saturday, February 3, 2007 at Picnic Shelter #1 in Hawrelak Park. Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.

Stay tuned to this site for last minute details. Event may have to be rescheduled if temperatures drop below -30C or, even worse, if temperatures rise above +30C and all the snow melts.

Looking forward to seeing everyone.
