Geocache Description:

You are searching for an ammo can. After finding the cache take some time and enjoy the views and the wildlife. Just over a one mile walk round trip.

Polk County's Environmental Lands Program is receptive to caching. Please be respectful of this property, its vegetation & wildlife. Near the cache site are several houses that were used as a retreat by the late Sherwood Stokes. Now these buildings are home to the Long-Eared Bat which is rarely seen in Florida. Don’t forget the insect repellent and water. Be careful and enjoy the area. Remember, there are always risks associated with visiting nature preserves.
