This was the site of the actual, and true location of the focal point in the movie "It's a wonderful life". It is not where the movie was filmed, but the inspiration for it. Yes, I know. The good people of Seneca Falls want to believe that their bridge was the inspiration. Let them believe. It was a fine old steel bridge, just needed a paint job. We had a brand new concrete bridge several hundred yards up river, and paint costs money, so it was dismantled and scrapped.
