CITO Season 1: three weeks remain!
Greetings, geocachers! With only three weeks left in the Cache in Trash Out® 2022 Season 1, it’s a great time to reflect on the joy and accomplishments of the season so far!
Since March 1, over 1,000 CITO Events have taken place in more than 40 countries! Over 11,000 geocachers decided to beautify and restore communities around the world through CITO Events. Each Event is a testament to care–for ourselves, our communities, and our planet.

Season 1 of Cache in Trash Out® began March 1 and concludes May 31. If you haven’t earned the Season 1 souvenir yet, no sweat! Be sure to either attend or host a CITO Event on or before May 31.
Another souvenir–Season 2 of Cache in Trash Out® 2022– will be available later this year!
Attend or host a CITO Event from September 1 through November 30 to earn the second souvenir!
Cache In Trash Out® (CITO) is an environmental initiative supported by the geocaching community. Since 2002, CITO has helped preserve the natural beauty of cache-friendly spaces. In that time, more than 363,000 people have volunteered at over 29,000 events.
