BROUMOV
Broumovsky klaster je pro svoji architektonickou a kulturni hodnotu
zapsan v seznamu narodnich kulturnich pamatek Ceske republiky.
Areal stoji v tesne blizkosti namesti, v severovychodni casti
Broumova, na nejvyssim miste skalniho ostrohu nad rekou
Stenavou.
Dnesni podoba je vysledkem vrcholne barokni prestavby (1726 –
48) podle projektu Kiliana Ignace Dientzenhofera. Dientzenhofer je
take autorem navrhu vyzdoby vnitrnich prostor klastera,
realizovanych vynikajicimi umelci prazskeho baroka - stukaterem
Bernardem Spinettim, freskarem Janem Karlem Kovarem ci malirem
Felixem Antoninem Schefflerem.
Prestoze je objekt v soucasne dobe z velke casti nevyuzity, jeho
nejzajimavejsi prostory lze navstivit s pruvodcem v ramci
prohlidky: klasterni kostel sv. Vojtecha, sakristii, refektar a
klasterni knihovnu. Knihovna patri mezi vzacne dochovane klasterni
knihovny v Ceske republice. Dnes je v ni ulozeno priblizne 17 000
svazku.
Kopie tzv. Turinskeho platna, ktera byla v roce 1999 nalezena v
klasternim kostele nad kapli sv. Krize, je vystavena v klasternim
refektari. Pochazi z roku 1651 a byla darem turinskeho biskupa
Bergiria broumovskemu opatovi Sobkovi z Bilenberka. Na svete
existuje kolem 40 kopii, tato je vsak stredoevropskym unikatem,
jedinou kopii nachazejici se severne od Alp. Stari relikvie, na
ktere je zobrazeno mrtve Jezisovo telo, presne dokumentuje
autenticka listina, ktera byla k rouchu prilozena.

The Broumov Monastery is listed in the list of
protected national monuments of the Czech Republic due to its
architectonic and cultural value. The premises stand in close
vicinity to the square, in the north-eastern part of Broumov, on
the highest point of the rocky spur above the Stenava River.
The present look is a result of the middle
baroque reconstruction (1726-48) in accordance with the project of
Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer. Dientzenhofer is also the author of the
design of the monastery interior decorations carried out by the
leading artists of the Prague baroque – the stuccoworker
Bernard Spinetti, the fresco painter Jan Karel Kovár or the painter
Felix Antonín Scheffler.
Despite the fact that the building is mostly not
used these days, it is possible to visit its most interesting
premises with a guide as part of a tour: the monastic church of St.
Adalbert, the sacristy, the refectory (a copy of the Turin Shroud
is exhibited there) and the monastic library. The library is one of
the most precious well-preserved monastic libraries in the Czech
Republic. These days, approximately 17,000 books are stored
there.
A copy of the so-called Turin Shroud, which was
found in the monastic church above the Chapel of the Holy Cross in
1999, is exhibited in the monastic refectory. It dates back to 1651
and it was a gift from the Turin bishop Bergirius to the Broumov
abbot Sobek of Bílenberk. There are around 40 copies worldwide,
this one, however, is a unique copy in Central Europe, the only
copy located to the north of the Alps. The age of the relic, in
which the dead body of Jesus is painted, is precisely documented by
an authentic document attached to the robe.

Das Benediktiner
Kloster gehört zu nationalen Kulturdenkmälern der Tschechischen
Republik. Die Abtei bildet einen imposanten Komplex, dessen heutige
Gestalt das Ergebnis eines vorwiegend nach Vorlage von K. I.
Dientzenhofer (1726 – 48) durchgeführten Umbaus im Barockstil
ist. Das Kloster des Hl. Wenzels mit der Kirche des Hl. Vojtech
finden Sie im nordöstlichen Teil der Stadt, am höchsten Punkt des
Felsenvorsprungs. An die Klosterhauptgebäude schließt das ehemalige
Klostergymnasium (aus dem Jahr 1711) mit anliegenden
Wirtschaftsgebäuden an. An der Nordseite führt eine Brücke (1705)
über den ehemaligen Graben in den Klostergarten.
