BrizBlitz (The Commemorative cache) has been placed as part of the
celebrations of the "BrizBlitz - Where East Meets West" event.
The event was a very successful day of meeting other geocachers and
swapping many amusing stories about adventures had while out on the
cache hunt. Many teams participated for all or some of the day
which ended in a geodinner. It all began when "EskimoZooKeeper"
from Ohio in the U.S.A. contacted us asking if she could meet up
with a few "Aussies" for a day of caching. It grew from there and a
least 16 teams were in attendance for a great day. The placement of
this cache was chosen by finding the halfway point between
Mt.Cotton, the Eastern base for the event, and Ashgrove, the
Western base for the event. Lunch was enjoyed at the venue and then
the coordinates were released and the race was on for a FTF. The
honours went to ADACache from Canberra who had rearranged his
flights so as not to miss the beginning of the "BrizBlitz". The
cache itself only contains a logbook so please supply your own
pencil/pen, however the cache is quite large, hence the "other"
rating on the size. You'll understand when you find it. Thanks to
Wingaap and THENANKS for organising a funfilled day of socialising,
laughing and of course, cache hunting. I'm sure everyone enjoyed
themselves!
