Geocache Description:

Head for the Baldry Circuit Walk on Baldrys Rd Main Ridge. The walk is quite easy and there is a short circuit option however, if you have come this far you may as well take the long one.

Xanthorrhoea is an Australian native plant genus. Commonly called grass trees, Xanthorrhoea plants are also known as balga grass to the Australian aborigines, which is their word for black boy. The Aborigines probably called these plants balga because after a wild fire, the bottom leaves burn away revealing a singed black trunk with long green reed-like leaves extending from the top of the trunk giving the appearance of black figures.

There are several areas of Greens Bush with large clusters of grass trees. One particular leg of this circuit just happens to be one of the more easily accessible. The cache is a small sized clear plastic cliptop box and should be easily found. Hope you enjoy the walk.

UPDATE: The cache has been replaced after going missing. This time with a small container. Please do not disturb the vegetation. For 14 years this spot kept the cache nice and dry. Since my last visit it looks like the area has been turned upside down. There is no need!
