Geocache Description:

On Bastion Point lookout an easy drive (cycle... Walk...) from the waterfront up to the Joseph Savage Memorial where an ex Prime Minister rests.

Decided that this part of Auckland was in need of a cache to bring more people to look at this amazing view. An easy drive from the waterfront up to the Joseph Savage Memorial where an ex Prime Minister rests. This Point has a rich history in New Zealand. The land has changed hands a number of times between the Government and the true owners, local tribe Ngati Whatua. Remnants of gun positions can still be seen that were built to defend Auckland from any invading hordes during world war II.

Many muggles visit this popular place and I have currently placed it near a popular viewing area. There are cliffs nearby so watch little ones..

The cache container is now a screw top jar in a TK Camo bag... A local miscreant has taken a fancy to my ammo boxes so replaced with a less attractive container. We shall see.

It only has room for small tradeables and trackables...
