My Welcome to the New Year is now becoming an annual event. I thought it would be great to combine it with a Community Celebration Event and have it in our Local Government Area - Bass Coast Shire. What better event to celebrate the New Year, especially after the year 2020 we've all had? That won't be forgotten soon!
As it turns out my Community Celebration Event, which I had planned to be the last for the year, will probably be the FIRST of these to be held in Victoria! This might provide added incentive for people to attend.
This park provides everything that a good outdoors event needs; picnic table shelter. playground, plenty of parking and shade, etc. It is away from popular recreational locations,of which there are lots in the Shire. Bring your own drinks and snacks, remembering there'll be lots of police on the roads monitoring traffic and drivers.
Bring your geocaching highlights af 2020 and dreams/ aims for 2021!
Bring your own chairs and masks as we'll still have to keep social distancing; so we'll sit under the shady trees rather than the close confines of the picnic shelter.
Location: Bass community park
Date: 1st January 2021
Time: 2pm - 4pm
Community Celebration Events - 2020
This Event is part of a limited release of Community Celebration Events to celebrate 20 years of geocaching. Geocachers hosted events between May 2, 2020 and December 31, 2020. Due to the pandemic situation in 2020 an extension of dates to hold these events has been granted. Learn more about Community Celebration Events on the Geocaching Blog.
