Lyall Bay Lookout #4 (Wellington) Traditional Cache

My fourth Lookout cache in the Lyall Bay series.

Take care with parking, as it's a bit rough getting from the road to the park. Public transport is available, but the #3 Lyall Bay bus to Hungerford Road will leave you with a ten minute walk to GZ.

This cache looks towards both Lyall Bay and Cook Strait, and is a good spot to get away from the crowds. Not much do do here, unless you have a kayak, but not in a southerly! 

The flat spot across the road, back towards the city, and near the cliffs, was the location for part of Peter Jackson's 2005 "King Kong" movie. A large number of containers were placed around the site, to form cliffs for Skull Island.
