Geocache Description:

Kalgoorlie ANZAC 101 Series

The 101st anniversary of the Gallipoli campaign occurred on 25 April 2016 and commemorated a defining moment in the history of both Australia and New Zealand.  As a half Aussie half Kiwi caching team we decided to place this series along Anzac Drive to celebrate the friendship and special relationship between our two countries.

Each of the caches in this series contains one ingredient written on the back of the logbook or at the start of the log.  Collect each measurement and ingredient and you will not only have a great recipe for ANZAC cookies, you'll be able to solve the final puzzle!

Constantinople

The history of Constantinople goes all the way back to Roman times when Constantine the Great chose the city of Byzantium as his new capital and renamed it Constantinople in AD 330.  In 1453 the city fell to the Ottomans and remained their capital until 1924, before being renamed Istanbul in 1930 and capital of the modern republic of Turkey.  The city was famed for its defences and was not entered by Allied forces until after the Armistice of Mudros which ended Ottoman participation in World War I.  Source: wikipedia.org
