The cache has been moved until bridge replaced, it is hanging from a branch, head height.
This is my first hide, enjoy!
When visiting friends in Riverhead, we explored some of the new roads created with the new housing.
This is the Wautaiti Stream, which flows through a 6 hectare Council Reserve, that plunges over the edge, creating a small waterfall.
If you want to get another view of the waterfall, walk to the end of the wooden path, follow the grassy trail in a wide loop around, you should see tyre tracks to the stream edge and waterfall base. Two metal posts with yellow tops, mark the trail down to the waterfall.

Stop and read the sign, about this historic area, at least three mills are related to nearby Duke Street:
- Timber Sawmill (c.1840's-1865)
- Flour mill (1855-1890's)
- Paper mill (1899-1923)
