Geocache Description:


Located on a sandstone ridge a short distance from Charles Kemp Reserve, this area has a few of the Eucalypts that Sydney is well known for. Hence the road named the Ridgeway.

Some of the species are :-

Smooth-barked apple or Sydney red gum (Angophora costata)

Narrow-leaved ironbark or Narrowleaf red ironbark (Eucalyptus crebra)

Yellow bloodwood (Corymbia eximia)

Red bloodwood (Corymbia gummifera)

Woody pear (Xylomelum pyriforme)

Turpentine (Syncarpia glomulifera)

Scribbly gum (Eucalyptus haemastoma) (Ghost gum?)

Broad-leaved paperbark or Paper bark tea tree (Melaleuca quinquenervia)
