Geocache Description:


No 18 in a series of caches. Some will be at sporting venues others may not.

The Brownlow Medal was formally Charles Brownlow Trophy.

It is a individual award given to a player who is judged to be the fairest and best player in Australian Football League during

the regular season.

This is decided by votes by the officiating umpires after each game.

The Medal has been awarded every year since 1924 with the exception of an intermission from 1942 to 1945 due to World War 2.

Players are ineligible to win the Medal if they have been suspended for on field offences.

The 1950 Brownlow Medal was won by Allan Ruthven from the Fitzroy [The Lions] Football Team.

He had 21 votes.

The cache is a small screw top container it contains log-book, and a few swaps.

Please be aware of muggles especially when there are sportng events being held.
