Roma is known as the cradle of oil and gas industry and this intriguing two kilometre walk takes in twelve of the most historically significant sites. Clearly marked by discriptive plaques, highlights include the site of the first discovery of natural gas in Australia. The site of nation's first petroleum well disaster and the site of the absorption where petrol was manufactured. A brochure can be collected from the Roma Information Centre.
This area is well frequented by children so I would like to stress on visitors to be aware when looking for the cache. It is quite easy to be found with stealth. Happy Hunting.
