Geocache Description:

This is one cache that will become part of a series of caches called Charlie's Circuit. You can decide how many of the series you want to visit. Charlie's Circuit will take you to a number of facilities/places in the Churchill/Hazelwood area. Some of these facilities/places are well known to locals and others are less well known.

This cache is near one of the high points in the Lake Hyland area. If you park at the carpark near the toilets you can have a BBQ before setting off around the lake to capture a number of caches. The cache you are looking for is a camou bison container. 40 metres SW from GZ is a yellow star picket. Standing next to this picket will afford you views overlooking the lake and views of the Jeeralangs. When bushfires raged through the Jeeralangs, Lake Hyland was used by helicopter fire bombers to refill their buckets to fight the fires. From this vantange point fires and explosions could be clearly seen in the Jeeralangs. Please pretend that you are taking photos at the star picket to disguise why you are in that vacinity.
