Quick P & G @ the site of the old bridge on the 10 Mile Bluff
the cache
The sign says "no parking" but Im sure not how often the old mine road it used so please park off to the side and move on after your find. Just a 50ml uncamoed pill container at the end of the gate on the cliff side.
Make sure to turn around at the cache site so your view is clear to get back on the road again from both angles.
the story
If you look towards the bridge you can still see remnants of the old bridge that used to be here. (currently still in Google Earth)
My brother Noel was heading home to Punakaiki on his motorbike after maybe one too many and missed the corner coming off the bridge. (LOL)
After kissing the wall he spent a few weeks in hospital and had to have several operations on his hand. After he healed he was able to laugh about his stupidity and now everytime we pass....so can we.
