A small cache at a beautiful wetland in Chiltern Mt Pilot National Park.
No 1 Dam is the easternmost of the wetlands created by the large-scale gold deep-lead mining operations which were undertaken in Chiltern Valley in the nineteenth century. This is a very peaceful spot for bird-watching and there's a picnic table and barbecue. A great spot for photos of reflections on cold frosty mornings! Cache is a small container with room for logbook, pencil and small swaps.. You may need to get your feet wet if you're here after heavy rain! Please replace carefully and securely. Watch for slitherers, and please leave pooch at home. Well done FTF - mvyrmnd!
