This cache immortalises five Southern Belles of Geocaching from the great U.S. state of Tennessee. It is located just off a good bitumen road in a wide mallee vegetation corridor.
While most of the Wandering Heroes caches recognise great South Australian geocachers, some are dedicated to those from other states..... and even countries! This cache is dedicated to five great ladies of geocaching I met and/or did some of their great hides while in Tennessee during September of 2011. On arrival at the GZ you will easily find "the five".... four are red herrings while the other is the actual cache. All are within two metres of each other!!! "The five" are dedicated to..... Midnitecowgirl ..... who, with her partner Dirttrackracer49, got hooked on geocaching during my visit to the states in 2010. She has some clever hides in and around Huntington, Tennessee, and even hid a cache dedicated to myself known as CPwanderer's Scrub GC346T5. Sallykc ..... who, with her husband, are prolific hiders in and around Union City, Tennessee. We were lucky enough to meet them both while doing a cache at a Civil War cemetery, and we did lots of their very(very) clever hides while in the north west of the state. Sunshine Girl ..... has brought alive caching in West Tennessee from the town of Paris to over the northern border with Kentucky! She has some amazing hides and, just before we returned to Australia she put out a cache dedicated to myself .... Back to the 80's - Down Under GC34Y5Q. Earlsgurl ..... has some great caches in the Waverly and Dickson area of West Tennessee. I not only got a FTF on one of her hides while I was in Tennessee but I also got to meet her and her family on one of my caching jaunts around the state! Williefan's Girl .. Denyse ... Williefan's daughter, Denyse is not a geocacher but if you read the description of his cache ... Be sure to wave! GC17CR9 you'll understand how she featured in my trip to Tennessee. We were privilidged to meet her and her mother after doing this cache! Like all Tennesseeans we met they were great folks! If you have a camera with you post a pic of yourself waving at the GZ! There is a FTF Geotool for the first to grab this cache. Take the 5 Belles out of the ammo box ..... the log is in one of them!!!
