A easy place to stop on State Highway One between Turangi and Taupo.
The cache is in a large rest area beside State Highway One.
If you haven't already noticed you're in one of the finest trout fishing areas in New Zealand and possibly the world.
This spot is between two of the big trout rivers; the Tongariro and the Tauranga-Taupo.
The cache is a small screw top container within another container. Please unscrew the lid and don't try to remove the entire outer container (this will make sense when you get there). Contains a log book & pencil. Has space for small items only.
Please Note that this cache had to be slightly relocated in August 2018 due to a large tree falling over. It is now at S 38° 55.405' E 175° 53.318'.
