Cache is a large sistema container placed on a track further along from the first cache we ever placed. It is now a popular spot for wind surfers. The signs along the way are a little confusing but the cache is placed without having to venture into the areas that are being developed for a wildlife protection reserve. If you have been looking for a large container then this is your opportunity! At the moment it is filled with the large items that we have been unable to place anywhere else!
It is the Twelfth Day and the decorations and lights are down for another year. What better celebration than to plant a new cache! We looked but couldn't find a pear tree or a partridge - nor a punga or even a pukeko - until on our way back the pukekos all came out of hiding! A straightforward cache along an enjoyable short walkway - if the tide is right!
