This cache is placed in a location with a good view of two large accommodation facilities, one named Barwon with capacity for 350 residents, the other named Marngoneet with capacity for 300 residents. Extraordinary levels of security are provided for the residents and visitors are welcome.
The original accommodation facility of this type in Geelong operated from 1864 until 1991. A popular recreational activity at this original establishment was breaking large rocks into small rocks.
The cache has a small capacity with room only for a paper roll and pen for logging your visit.
