This cache is near the grave site of the explorer Charles Darke. During 1839 to 1844 he explored the Eyre Peninsula region along with John Theakstone and James Howard. The nearby Hills and township of Darke Peak are named after him.
The cache is a 2 litre container containing the log book and pencil, fridge magnet, torch charger, a plastic spud and clay bottle.
