Minutes out of Whangarei, meanders this one of many estuary roads.
Easy access to this pleasant river access point where country living is only minutes away from the CBD.
Cache is on dry land bank.
In summer the odd canoe or kayak will be launched and extracted from here for a meander down the estuary where Shags and waterfowl nest. But beware high-tide only lasts a couple of hours before your boat is stranded on a sand bank at the river mouth!
