Agnew Park Traditional Cache

This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no response to my previous note, I assume that the cache is not going to be repaired or replaced, so I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us, and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it

Thanks for your cooperation!

Geocache Description:

Located at a small public park in Santa Clara. You have a paved walkway to the cache.

I have driven past this park maybe 300+ times. I had never taken the opportunity to stop and explore. This seems to be a nice park. The building in the middle looks to be a building you can rent and hold parties, etc.

Today, after trying to drop 4 Travel Bugs off at 'Evil Empire' and not being successful, I thought I might as well put *up* a cache which can hold small Travel Bugs. This cache is starting out with 4 Travel Bugs I picked up overseas. Even though it is big enough to hold Travel Bugs, I wasn’t able to get a pen or pencil in it so please bring your own.

From the Santa Clara City page, here is information about Agnew Park:

Park is named after Agnew's Village which was named in honor of Abram Agnew, a Santa Clara Valley pioneer from Ohio. In 1877, the land of A. Agnew appears on county maps opposite the paper mill owned by James Lick. South Pacific Coast Railroad established an agency five miles north of San Jose in 1878 on Agnew land. The railroad station and the town were referred to as Agnew's because Abram Agnew gave four acres of land for the railroad station and laid out the town.

Good Luck.
