This is a 2 part Multi Cache. The 1st part is a micro cache that will give you the coordinates to the Regular cache, which is contained in a geofficially marked 50 Cal. ammo can. This cache contains a lot of quality items. This cache hunt takes you along beautiful Painter Creek. At least thats what we called it growing up. I believe painter creek is actually a tributary to Panther Creek, which I believe is the correct name for this Creek. (I will still call it Painter for what ever it is worth.) This is a beautiful cold water native trout stream. Numerous Hemlock Trees shade it on its run. Unfortuately this area is dotted with litter and the surrounding woods were recently logged. This used to be protected watershed land, but it seems we no longer have to protect our watershed. This land was formerly PG&W Land. PG&W split there water and gas business and sold them. The watershed land going to a Texas gas company and the reservoirs + 500ft around them to Pa American Water Company. Who would have thought a Gas Company would need Watershed land? Oh, they don't, they sold the land to Theta Corp which is now logging, dividing and selling the land that once was protected for over a Hundred Years (and never taxed). Sorry for the rant.
This is a special regulation Creek. You may fished with artifical lures and flies only. This is a catch and release stream. It contains both Brook and Brown (Native) trout. It is regularly patroled by the Pennsylvania Fish & Boat Commission. It is a walk in only area.
Cache in, Trash out.
