Lake Ouachita State Park
Lake Ouachita State Park plans to host a clean up event from 9 am – noon on June 7th. Any organizational volunteers are encouraged to arrive 30 minutes early. Parking will be available at the visitor center and at the marina. Our staging area for the event will be at the visitor center picnic area. Here you will meet with our organizers to pick up your supplies and get your assigned areas. For those interested, we will also be cleaning up our shoreline via kayak with the assistance of a support pontoon barge. We will provide all the necessary equipment, but kayaks are limited so let me know if you wish to secure a kayak. The park will collect the gathered trash items. There are restroom and shower facilities available in the park if needed. The park will provide a hot dog lunch afterwards and bottled water will be available for the volunteers during the event. After lunch, we will be placing a new cache, so please bring something to leave in the cache. If interested in volunteering, please let me know. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.
