THIS CACHE IS IN A DANGEROUS POSITION. CARE MUST BE TAKEN AT ALL TIMES.
This is Seacliff Bridge located between Clifton and Coalcliff, along Lawrence Hargrave Drive (aka Grand Pacific Drive). The bridge replaced a road that was quite susceptible to rock falls and erosion, forcing the Govt. to replace the road with a bridge.
SCB was opened on December 11 2005 and named quite originally after the geographical placing of it. It cost a total of $52 million and was a great success with locals. Bike access however is restricted to a mere 40 cm or so to the side of the road, quite ungenerous.
This cache is in a position that is very hazardous. Slipping may result in accidental death or injury. So be careful.
