[b]SAMMALLAHDENMÄKI Bronze Age Burial Site[/b] The cairns of Sammallahdenmäki represent the Scandinavian Bronze Age culture that spread to Western Finland during the Bronze Age. The culture brought with it a new burial method: the dead were buried in stone cairns, which were built on the rocks by the sea.
