Route 9 Bike Trail Caches
Public
On Sept. 7, 2010 the bike trail was completed and open. It is about 10.5 miles each way or 21 miles round trip. Most of the trail has slightly rolling hills with only one or two steeper grades. This is not a rails to trails system. Traveling from Martinsburg to Ranson would be the easiest one way trip. The trail is completely paved but you do have to cross some secondary roads from time to time. This is a young trail so there is not much shade so bring some water along. You can find parking at: By looking at GC4Q1H2 it has all the parking locations along with road crossings and mile markers. There are around 50 caches along this trail. Most are traditional caches. There are micro's to boxes but most are micro in size. There is also one letterbox, two multi-stage caches, a night cache and an unknown cache type. If you are planning on doing this trail and would like my PAF info contact me and I will set you up.
